Once I got out of work, I went with a buddy of mine (also a veteran) to Applebee's in Waterville to share a special camaraderie with hundreds of people who were there to accept the meal of appreciation they offered free to veterans.
It was very nice to be gathered in a place where everyone there was sharing a common sense of pride and appreciation.
I want to thank all of the businesses, also including J&S Oil and Home Depot, that offered specials to people who served or are serving our country. Thank you for making it a special day of support for us.
