It is my opinion that many, if not most, of our problems do not admit of any political solution. I was a Republican all my life until only a few months ago, and I have become so disgusted with the GOP that I withdrew my membership at the town office.
I worked with many others to try to help the Ron Paul campaign, but even then I told them that if they expected him to fix everything (assuming the press and all the powers that be hadn't vilified him as they did) they were in for a tremendous disappointment.
Most of our problems are not fixable by government, but rather by a change of attitude and a willingness to take responsibility for ourselves. We need an inner change of heart desperately.
