The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife works just as hard to foil any attempts at milfoil control.
Bass fishing "derbies" are held in infected lakes like Pleasant Pond in Litchfield for a fee of $50.
It's apparent that IF&W simply doesn't care if 30 ultra-high powered boats roar through milfoil pockets spreading the infestation further within the lake.
IF&W should reconsider its milfoil policy, if indeed it has one to begin with.
