The Maine Democratic Party is also working harder than ever to make sure that the caucus is as inclusive as possible. So far, more than 5,000 Mainers have already participated in the Democratic caucus by absentee ballot, and we believe that 2008 also will be a record year for attendance. Absentee ballots had to be returned to Maine Democratic Party Headquarters by 5 p.m. Feb. 6.
People with questions about the caucus process should contact Maine Democratic Party headquarters at 622-6233 or go online to www.maine dems.org/caucus08.aspx
On Sunday, Maine Democrats in 420 cities, towns and plantations will caucus in 372 unique locations. This is an unprecedented level of local enthusiasm and is representative of the Democratic Party's broad appeal. The 2008 election will be a banner year for Maine Democrats.
Americans have seen what eight years of Republican leadership looks like and they are ready for a change.
Arden Manning
Executive Director
Maine Democratic Party
