Dyar has been involved in research and development efforts in Maine for several years. He is a founder of the Teague Technology Center in Fairfield, established in 2004 as a business incubator for small research companies with a concentration in biotechnology. He has advocated for several research and development projects before the Legislature and currently serves on the research review panel and the biotechnology panel of the Maine Technology Institute, a state-funded organization that helps emerging research companies and will bring 21st century jobs to Maine.
Dyar's company, Meadowbrook Consulting, is providing the marketing effort for a new waste-to-energy company in central Maine. Dyar's company is also spearheading a business venture in bioethanol production between a United States group and a company in the Czech Republic, where he has presented workshops on various aspects of business development in biotechnology.
If research and development are key issues for the voters of District 83, they should look to someone with experience and vision, and in this race that person would be Dyar.
