The issue of the letter was about "hate" toward pagans or those who are non-Christian.
If the author does not profess Christianity, how can they know what is "Christ-like?"
What this letter writer forgot is that Christians have a right to profess, protect and defend their faith. If they feel that pagan growth in the community is a spiritual risk to their children and their families, they have the right to bring this to the public's attention.
Christian moral responsibility requires that one does not sit back and allow pagan or secular influence to harm Christian principles. This is what most Christians who are socially active try to do.
They merely want others to respect their own faith and to keep immoralities and harmful practices from hurting others. This involves keeping schools open to Christian children by asking public schools to respect Christian beliefs too and individual towns to keep anti-Christian practices away from where they may mislead others.
We are all responsible for our fellow neighbor. That's how Christians are Christ-like. We pray for others and we try to help them love Jesus too.

The point that I was making is that the author of the article titled "Christians do defend themselves" is trying to use this forum to spread her religion (the practice of a doctrine that is based upon a system of beliefs) and she fails to see that actually the origins of her religion are founded in the ancient pagan religions.
But since you've apparently chosen not to view the video, I guess you're only recourse was to make an off-point statement that actually had nothing to do about what I had posted. Must have been a dull evening for you to have to go that route.
Then again, with a screen name like VivaBusho, I suppose expecting you to stay on point with the subject matter being discussed is at times a real challenge.

You probably love Fox "Republican" News because it is anything but "fair and balanced," it is right-wing and ideologically driven under the guise of "fair and balanced." Reality is a nice thing. If you're talking about "boo" kind of things that go bump in the night and the supernatural as defining public policy, well, that's your choice as an individual ... but the majority of sane Americans and our founding fathers (the tripe about this being founded as a "Christian" nation is nonsense, revisionist history by the religious right without grounding in history) sure our political "leaders" ought to be dealing with THIS reality. That's the point. Let's say there's a "leader" who kept referring to the inspiration he took from messages from Zeus. I think you and many others would be deeply concerned about that. You're not concerned about the bible bashing of George W. Bush or other public figures because that's what you "believe," but that isn't what many others who have just as much a right to government by all of the people as you do.
