I have been having trouble thinking of any examples of this supposed record, because the only thing that comes to mind is one example that reveals Allen's true colors.
In 2000, Allen thwarted the efforts of Lewiston-Auburn to bring the U.S. Postal Service's distribution center to the largest population center in the 2nd District.
Instead, Allen convinced the Postal Service to bring the distribution center and its 850 jobs to a site in suburban Scarborough, where it now operates.
Now I recognize that a congressman represents just his own district; however, in small states with only two congressional districts like Maine, each member of Congress also represents the wider interests of the state. Allen failed an important leadership test in 2000 by advocating against the interests of another part of the state of Maine.
Now Allen wants to represent the 2nd District in the U.S. Senate. No thanks, I'll choose Susan Collins, an honest politician and hard worker who has already proven that the entire state of Maine is her top priority.

Notice how the comments from liberals usually mention President Bush and the word, impeach, no matter what the subject? Ralph here could be talking about the high price of beet greens and the comments would be how the price will come down....if we only impeach Bush!
It's called BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) and it affects a very large percentage of the Democratic Party.report abuse
