Before we go to the polls on Nov. 7, I hope all citizens of Maine will become informed about TABOR (Taxpayer Bill of Rights) and the impact it would have throughout our state. Also, before we vote, we need to ask our candidates for governor and for the Maine Legislature if they understand what TABOR would mean for the citizens they represent.

TABOR would cut public services at every level throughout our state. TABOR is part of a national agenda to cut funding for essential health, education and public safety programs. We need local control, not TABOR control, of our public services.

On Nov. 7, I will note "no" on Question 1, and I will vote for candidates who will also vote "no" on Question 1.
