SOUTH CHINA -- Samantha Morse pitched her third straight no-hitter as Erskine defeated Camden Hills, 8-0, in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference softball action Monday afternoon.

Morse struck out 10 and walked three to earn the win for Erskine (7-1). She no-hit Medomak Valley and Lincoln Academy last week.

Meryl Bond had two singles and a double, while Krystina Foote had a double, a single and an RBI in support of Morse. The Eagles scored five runs in the third, thanks to RBI singles by Kaci Hudson and Megan Helm, an RBI double by Foote and a two-run single by Jess Souther.

Camden Hills falls to 3-5.

Waterville 3, Medomak Valley 1: Kacey Rodrigue singled on a suicide squeeze in the sixth inning to drive in the game-winning run as Waterville scored the win at home.

Kylee Gardiner drove an insurance run in the sixth with a fielder's choice, which scored Taylor Hart, who singled earlier in the inning for Waterville (5-3).

Paige Gardiner pitched a complete game to earn the win, allowing one run on five hits, while striking out eight and walking none.

Kayla Vannah had three singles for Medomak Valley (5-3).

Mt. Blue 4, Leavitt 3: Shortstop Kelly Yardley fielded a ground ball and cut down the tying run at the plate in the top of the seventh inning as the Cougars edged the Hornets in Farmington.

Kaitlynn Bartlett tossed a three-hitter for Mt. Blue (4-4), with five strikeouts and four walks. Chelsea Kendall singled twice for the Cougars.

Mt. Blue broke a 3-3 tie with a run in the bottom of the fifth. Hannah Allen singled and moved to second on a bunt by Mirka Novakova. Allen then stole third and scored on a safety squeeze bunt by Yardley.

Carrabec 17, Wiscasset 2, 5 innings: The Cobras took advantage of 16 walks from Redskins pitchers to take the MVC game in North Anson.

Becca Bergeron led the Carrabec offense with two hits, two RBI and three stolen bases. Melissa White added two RBI and three stolen bases. Other standouts for the Cobras were Myranda Knight (four walks, two steals) and Carissa Booker (two hits, three runs, two RBI).

Lacey Fenlason walked four, struck out seven and pitched a two-hitter for Carrabec (3-4). Amanda Dowling and Paige Teal each singled for the Redskins (0-5).

Mt. View 5, Rockland 3: Cassandra St. Clair pitched a six-hitter with five strikeouts as the Mustangs defeated the Tigers in Thorndike for their first win of the season.

Alexis Bennett singled twice and tripled for Mt. View (1-6). St. Clair also tripled and Alonia Horton added a double. Joelle Joyce singled and doubled for Rockland (0-7).

Skowhegan 7, Morse 0: Becca McCarty and Kady Esty combined on a five-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts as the Indians topped the Shipbuilders in Skowhegan.

McCarty went six innings, allowing four hits and striking out 11. Esty pitched the seventh and struck out three while allowing one hit.

Skowhegan (7-0) broke the game open with five runs in the bottom of the sixth. Mallory Hancock had a two-run single in the rally and McCarty added an RBI single.

Morse dropped to 1-6 with the loss.

Winslow 3, Lincoln 0: Kaite Bernard pitched a four-hitter with four strikeouts as the Black Raiders blanked the Eagles in Winslow.

Bernard struck out four and walked one as Winslow improved to 7-1. Julie Riordan singled three times and Lindsay Gordon added a pair of singles for the Raiders.

Becca Rice singled and doubled for Lincoln (2-6).

Nokomis 6, Lewiston 5, 8 innings: Marissa Shaw went 5 for 5 and Sammy Moore was 4 for 4 as the Warriors defeated the Blue Devils in Newport.

With one out in the bottom of the eighth inning and the score tied at 5, Heidi Wyman reached on an error for Nokomis (2-6). Moore and Shaw each followed with singles to load the bases, and Jessica Kent-Webber (three singles) delivered an RBI single to end the game.

Lindsay Smith singled twice for Lewiston (0-7).

Mt. Abram 6, Dirigo 2: Molly McCafferty allowed two runs on seven hits to lift the Roadrunners to a win in Dixfield.

Rachel Fullerton, Jillian Withee, Emma Twitchell and Dani Smith each singled twice for Mt. Abram (5-2).

Katrina Pulk had a double and a single, while Nikki Berry singled twice for Dirigo (4-4).

Cony 13, Lawrence 5: Suzannah Deeves had two singles and three RBI to lead the Rams to the KVAC Class A win in Fairfield.

Chelsea Soule added two singles for Cony (8-0). Jasmine Trott, Mika Wilson and Emily Soule combined to pitch a two-hitter for the winners.

Lawrence (1-6) was led offensively by Sophie Lindsey with a home run and a single. Aimee Vigue added a double.

Girls lacrosse

Messalonskee 17, Gardiner 2: Miranda Tinsman scored six goals as Messalonskee took the KVAC win.

Abbey Stacey had three goals for Messalonskee (4-1). Haley Huntington and Caitlin Phillips each scored for Gardiner (3-2).
