Burchill scored 11 points in the game, but none were bigger than his late bucket, which gave Thomas (1-3) a one-point lead.
Andrew Duncanson, playing his first game of the year, scored 23 points for Thomas (1-3). Mt. Blue graduate Isaiah Brathwaite added 17 points and Darrell Alexander had 15.
UM-Farmington 69, St. Joseph's 56: In Standish, Andrew Dean scored 16 points and Eric Taylor added 15 to lead the Beavers. Shane Tracy and Josh Tanguay contributed 10 points and 12 rebounds and Shabe Tracy 10 points for the winners while St. Joe's Elbie Murphy led all scorers with 17 points. Both teams are 2-1.
Colby 65, Endicott 56: The Mules went on a 10-0 run to end the game on their way to a win over the Gulls in Beverly, Mass.
Artie Cutrone scored 18 points for Colby, which improved to 3-2. Cutrone also had six assists, five rebounds and two blocked shots.
Fisher 106, UM-Augusta 82: Moses Brathwaite had 27 points and 20 rebounds in the Moose's loss in Augusta.
Deon Cheers added 30 points, 11 rebounds and five steals for UMA (2-7).
Women's basketball
UMA 52, Fisher 47: Ashley Peaslee scored 19 points and Marcie Moors grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the University of Maine at Augusta to the Yankee Small College Conference win.
Moors and Danielle White added nine points each for UMA (4-5) while Jessica St. Amand dished out seven assists.
Rivier 74, UM-Farmington 65: Cony High School graduate Monica White scored 16 points as the Raiders beat the Beavers in Farmington.
For UMF (2-2), Ashley Busque and Erin Porter had 15 points, while Amanda Byrne added 11 and Caitlyn Laflin had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Men's hockey
Curry 2, Colby 0: John Williams had a goal and an assist as the Colonels beat the Mules in Waterville. Cody McKinney had 23 saves for Colby (2-1).
Women's hockey
Colby 3, Southern Maine 1: Stephanie Scarpato scored the game-winning goal with 5:03 left in the third period as the Mules beat the Huskies in Gorham.
Laura Anning and Becky Julian each had two assists for Colby (2-1-0).
