FARMINGTON -- Four different players scored as Mt. Blue bagged a convincing 4-0 victory over Edward Little in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A field hockey action Thursday evening.

The game was played under the lights on the Mt. Blue football field, and the Cougars notched their sixth straight shutout to improve to 6-1 on the year.

Johanna LaPlant and Kyle Cyr scored in the first half, while Michelle Oswald and Kaitlyn Bullen were the goal-scorers after the break. Oswald and Kelsey Frechette each had an assist. Goalie Amanda Deschenes made two saves on three shots for the Cougars.

Kayla Cummings had 16 saves on 23 shots for Edward Little (3-4-1).

WATERVILLE 1, ERSKINE 0: Kayla Pellerin pushed in a pass from Jenna Jolicoeur with less than two minutes left in the first half as the Panthers defeated the Eagles in a KVAC B game in Waterville.

Kristin Toromollan had five saves for Waterville (4-2-0).

Beth Belanger had 15 saves for Erskine (2-5-0).

SKOWHEGAN 7, BRUNSWICK 0: Sam Gifford had four goals in the second half as the Indians broke open a 1-0 game and cruised to a KVAC A win in Skowhegan.

Melissa Hancock scored on a penalty stroke to give Skowhegan (7-1-0) a 1-0 lead in the first half. Erin Sevey and Becky Pratt each added a goal and an assist in the second half for the Indians. Morgan Lambert had two assists and Caitlyn Lancaster one.

Heather Durkee had 19 saves in the loss for Brunswick (2-5-0).

MT. VIEW 1, OAK HILL 0: The Mustangs were outshot 21-15 and had three breakaways stopped by Raiders goalie Brittany Wood, but still picked up a KVAC B win in Wales.

Tessa Mayberry scored the lone goal of the game late in the first half, with an assist from Britney Bowden. Lindsey Cronin had 21 saves to earn the win for Mt. View (5-2-0).

Wood stopped 15 shots for Oak Hill (2-6-0).

BELFAST 1, WINSLOW 0: Sami Bark scored an unassisted goal in the second half as the Lions defeated the Black Raiders in a KVAC B game against the Black Raiders in Winslow.

Paxton Mahoney and Leann Donovan combined to make two saves for Belfast (4-1-1).

Emma Walters had five saves for Winslow (3-3-0).

GIRLS SOCCER

WATERVILLE 10, LAWRENCE 0: Shelby Tuttle and Steph Whitten each scored three goals as the Purple Panthers rolled past the Bulldogs in Waterville.

Laura Tozier, Jordan Pellerin, Taylor Hart and Taylor Frame each had a goal for Waterville (8-0). Hart also made three saves in goal. Kacie Roderigue finished in the net and was not called upon to make a save.

Jess Poulin had 11 saves for Lawrence (4-3).

BANGOR 1, MT. BLUE 0: Kim Jordan's goal with 14 minutes left in the second half was the only score of the game, lifting the Rams to a KVAC A win.

Jordan's goal was unassisted and came from a cross that scrambled through the middle.

Kortnie Hudgens made 11 saves for the win. Em Dean had eight saves for Mt. Blue. Both teams are now 5-2.

BREWER 2, SKOWHEGAN 1, OT: Erika Cote scored with one second left in overtime to give the Witches the KVAC Class A win in Skowhegan. Whitney Jones forced the overtime when she scored with 10 minutes off a pass from Hannah Pillsbury. Sarah Risser scored in the first half for Brewer.

Crystal Johnson made 12 saves for Skowhegan (0-7) while Carolyn Tuck turned in 13 for Brewer (2-5).

MT. ABRAM 3, CARRABEC 1: Three different players scored as the Roadrunners beat the Cobras at Salem.

Rebecca London, Emma James and Morgan Cummings all scored for Mt. Abram (3-2-1), while Desiree Abbott and Rachel Fullerton each had an assist. Kenni Norton stopped two shots to earn the win. Kara Hebert scored from Katie Kiffen and Mackenzie Weese had 10 saves for Carrabec (1-3-3).

BOYS SOCCER

WATERVILLE 4, LAWRENCE 0: Noah Spofford had a goal and an assist as the Panthers shut out the Bulldogs in a KVAC A game in Fairfield.

Nick Christensen, Shawn Lee and Nate Breton also scored for Waterville, which reaches the .500 mark at 4-4.

Zach Jochem had three saves to earn the win.

Cody Fabian had seven saves for Lawrence (2-5-0).

VALLEY 12, AVERILL 0: Cameron Miller, Sebastian Jackson and Curtis Miller each scored three goals to help the Cavaliers earn their first win of the season in Class D play.

Scott Hunnewell had four assists for Valley (1-4). Joshua Gagnon made six saves for Averill (0-5).

HAMPDEN 6, NOKOMIS 3: John D'Haiti scored a pair of goals to help the Broncos overcome an early deficit and take the KVAC win in Newport.

Jordan Woodbury and Jordan Richards scored early goals to give Nokomis (0-7) a 2-0 lead. Hampden (5-2) scored four unanswered goals to take a 4-2 halftime lead.

Cam Cox made six saves for Hampden. Mark Gustin had 10 saves for the Warriors.
