NORRIDGEWOCK -- The public is invited to an open house and a meet-and-greet with the new librarian Thursday at the Norridgewock Free Public Library.

Nina Pleasants, the new librarian, will be on hand to meet teachers from nearby Mill Stream Elementary School from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., and with the public from 6-7 p.m., when refreshments will be served.

The library has two new computers for public use, including Wi-Fi Internet capability.

The library is a former portable classroom used at the old Norridgewock Elementary School.

It is situated on town land next to the new school. Library hours are Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
