Dana K. Davis, 56, of Bingham is charged with the Class A felony of gross sexual assault, according to Wilton police Chief Dennis Brown. Davis was arrested at his home Sunday afternoon by Officer Rick Billian and Lt. Page Reynolds.
The alleged assault occurred at a family function at a residence on Blue Spruce Road in Wilton in September 2001. The girl did not disclose what happened until recently and then her mother reported the incident to police, Brown said.
In the past 12 months, to date, there have been 11 gross sexual assaults investigated in Wilton along with seven related offenses including unlawful sexual contact, Brown said.
