Nicholas J. Laws, 18, was sentenced to 30 days in jail on the criminal mischief charge, and will be permitted to withdraw the guilty plea to burglary if he successfully complies with the terms of a deferred disposition in the case.
Laws was one of five adults and four juveniles charged with setting a fire March 20 in a pool in the vacant building.
A series of burning objects were thrown inside the pool area, recorded on video, set to music and posted on YouTube with a list of credits. A parent of one of the juveniles saw the video and reported the incident to police, according to information offered at other court proceedings.
Laws was ordered to pay $336 in restitution and complete 250 hours of public service.
The sentence was similar to that received by the other adult defendants. The juveniles received suspended sentences.
A number of people also were sentenced Tuesday in unrelated cases, in separate hearings in Kennebec County Superior Court:
* Sarah N. Attaway, 18, of Waterville, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs June 18 in Waterville; 48 hours in jail, credit for time served, $600 fine.
* Justin K. Blow, 24, of Clinton, unlawful possession of Oxycodone and falsifying physical evidence June 8 in Clinton; 364 days in jail, all suspended, one year probation, $1,000 in fines.
* Matthew M. Lane, 31, of Albion, domestic-violence assault June 7 in Waterville; four years in jail, all but 18 months suspended, two years' probation.
* Brian G. Jenness, 22, of Waterville; two counts of assault, both July 25 in Waterville; six months in jail concurrent with a one-year probation revocation.
* Michelle LeBrun, 39, of Fairfield, theft, April 17 in Waterville; two years in jail, all but five days suspended, two years' probation.
* Betty Jo Newcombe, 40, of Oakland, criminal trespass and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer March 31, in Oakland; 180 days in jail, all suspended, one year administrative release, $250 fine, $200 restitution.
* Andrea L. Mitchell, 39, of Vassalboro, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs May 28 in Waterville; $500 fine.
* Amanda L. Pelletier, 19, of Waterville, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer May 26 in Waterville; $250 fine.
