SKOWHEGAN -- A local man was arrested and jailed Sunday on charges that he threatened to kill an ex-roommate with a knife, police said.
Rodney Shaw, 30, of 8 Center St., was charged by Skowhegan Police with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and terrorizing.
As of Monday afternoon, he was still being held at the Somerset County Jail in Madison on $10,000 bail.
The charges stemmed from an incident that was reported at 7:54 p.m. Sunday, according to Police Chief Michael Emmons. Shaw was riding a bicycle on North Avenue when he stopped and confronted a 29-year-old man, his former roommate, Emmons said.
Shaw "displayed a knife and said he would stab him, said 'I'm going to kill you,'" Emmons said, though he didn't know what the dispute was about.
