The machine, described as a 2004 camouflage-color, Sportsman-model Polaris 500 cc ATV, was taken sometime between 2 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday. According to Franklin County Deputy Sandy Burke, the machine had mechanical problems and would have had to be hauled away on a trailer.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the sheriff's department at 778-2680.
