A native Mainer, Hutchins has worked for Marden's for more than 30 years in different capacities, as did founder and father in-law, Mickey Marden. He says wasteful government spending and burdensome regulations are chasing jobs and economic investment from Maine.
"Elected officials need to focus on creating jobs, strengthening the economy band reducing our energy burden," Hutchins said. "I am running for the State Senate because these are the steps we must take to put our state back on track. In the Senate, I will be a strong voice for real change."
Hutchins, 54, and his wife, Martha, have three children and three grandchildren. In his free time, Brent enjoys being outdoors, gardening, and sailing, and shares a love of snowmobiling with his entire family. He and his wife have lived in the district for 30 years and currently reside in Albion.
