School Administrative District 59 directors declined to take action on the district's science curriculum at their May meeting, Superintendent Michael Gallagher said at the time.
At their April 29 meeting, they tabled consideration of a revised curriculum that could include changes in how evolution is taught.
Board member Matthew Linkletter of Athens earlier this year suggested that the district remove evolution from its science curriculum. Linkletter said that evolution is not proven, and thus should not be taught as science.
Gallagher said in May that the board has no specific timetable regarding discussion or a vote on a revised curriculum.
He could not be reached Friday for details of Monday's meeting.
Board members also are scheduled to discuss possible reorganization and consolidation plans with neighboring districts. Those school districts include SAD 12 in Jackman, SAD 13 in Bingham and SAD 74 in Anson.
A Regional School Union (RSU) meeting is scheduled to be held in Moscow on Tuesday night.
Directors previously agreed to advertise for the open position of administrative assistant to the principal at Madison Area Memorial High School and to discontinue the Senior Exit Project at the high school and to replace it with a life skills curriculum.
