The Friday affair, hosted by the Farmington Downtown Business and Professional Association, offers artists the opportunity to display their work at Meetinghouse Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A children's display will be located in the gazebo.
The Strawberry Festival events will be in the downtown area, with plenty of parking nearby, according to organizer Marcia Planting.
A Friday chicken barbecue and road races will be highlights of Friday afternoon and evening. The United Way will host a bake sale at its Broadway office. Musicians, magicians, dancers, singers, an antique car show, and plenty of family entertainment will be featured Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
"Visit us at the Healthy Community Coalition's new mobile health unit on Saturday," HCC representative Eileen Liddy said. "We're offering strawberries to sample and recipes to try, along with free blood pressure checks from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m."
The Tot Spot Family Tent on Church Street in front of the Children's Task Force office will provide a space on Saturday to change diapers, feed infants, get out of the sun, and relax.
