The reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Quilts made by more than 20 quilters from across Maine will be displayed.
The exhibit, called "A Sense of Place," will feature the quilt artwork by members of the Art Quilts Maine, a statewide chapter of the Pine Tree Quilters' Guild of Maine.
Exhibiting artists and their towns of residence include: Alison Olds of Brooks; Amy Nichols, Brooks; Anne Walker, Rangeley; Annette Houston, Newport; Betty Pentland, Newport; Cindy Taylor Clark, Alfred; Diana Gay, Rockland; Ellen Hoffman, Cape Neddick; Gloria Brown, Whitefield; Jane Pronovost, Vassalboro; Jeanne-Marie Robinson, Northport.
Also, Julie Weaver of Mount Vernon; Karen Keeler, Topsham; Kate Cutco, Bowdoinham; Kathy Angel Lee, Old Orchard Beach; Kathy Daniels, China Village; Lori Howe, Farmingdale; Mary Ann Florek, Manchester; Peggy Lovejoy, Skowhegan; Priscilla Hoekstra, Etna; Rebecca Curry, Bath; Sally B. Rowe, Farmington; Stephanie Muri, Windsor; Sylvia Vander Sluis, Bethel; and Virgina Morrell, Farmington.
The exhibit will be on display through August.
