"He has been sighted today," Colby director of communications Steve Collins said Thursday. "Traps are still set."
The pig is a small Vietnamese pot-bellied pig, described as being male, freedom-loving, charcoal-gray and about the size of an English Springer Spaniel. College officials do not know its name or who owns it, although the owner apparently is a student.
Catching it may have become even more difficult, Collins said.
"He's very skittish because of the new attention to him," he said. "A lot of people have been looking at him and I'm not sure that's helpful."
