WEST FARMINGTON — A Farmington man who has been biking to work for years was struck by a car at a four-way-stop intersection Tues- day morning but escaped with minor injuries, Farmington police said.
John Systma of Temple Road, who works at Tri-County Mental Health Services on High Street, was struck by a 2002 Jeep Cherokee operated by Rhonda Kane, 44, of Temple at about 8 a.m. Systma was traveling east on Temple Road and was crossing the intersection when Kane started turning left onto Temple Street, said Officer Ed Hastings.
He said Kane had stopped at the stop sign but failed to see Systma before her car struck him.
