NAILED IT: Mid-Maine Technical Center student Trapper Bouchard, of Waterville, hammers in a nail during a contest during the 10th Annual Craft Championships on Friday morning at the Augusta Civic Center. About 1,000 students from 30 schools attended the event sponsored by Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine and the Downeast Construction Education Foundation. Students had a chance to check out hands-on activities and competitions in various trades including welding, wiring, rigging, plumbing, pipefitting, tiling, setting concrete forms and building brick walls.

A Winslow man faces seven counts of gross sexual assault that allegedly occurred over the last five years against two girls under the age of 18.
