FOOTHILLS REGION
Farmington is located in the foothills of the spectacular Western Maine mountains region. Nearby are dozens of peaks, many over 4,000 feet, that beckon hikers and skiers. The town serves as a gateway to Maine's famed ski slopes Sugarloaf and Saddleback. It also boasts a ski area of its own – Titcomb Mountain located in West Farmington.
