On the one hand I agree, why in Fairfield, why not in Sidney?
But on the other hand, there is a constant cry in Fairfield for new business, so why did the Planning Board say sure go do the tests, and then do an about face and say NO we don't want your new business here.
It is about time that the people doing the complaining about all that is wrong with these potential new businesses, step up or shut up.
Step up with your ideas on how to broaden our tax base, or shut up when someone else comes up with a plan that you don't like because it MIGHT have an odor.report abuse

He should have done what Sappi did. They promised no odor, but the odor drove people away from their own property on Route 201. I live in Fairfield Center and at times the odor was unbearable. That was bigger money so that probably made a difference. They lied and a lot of people in the area paid for it w/their health.report abuse

There would have been odor. Why didn't he try to build in his own backyard instead of someone else's?report abuse
