SlyME, Thanks for the information, I will look into it.

A lot of former residence of Maine are now in AZ. Must be something to it. We can have the best of all climates. If it is too warm in Phoenix, we just go north and it is a lot like Maine. Pine trees and beautiful mountain ranges. But not much rain.report abuse

Northeast Oregon... got here June 8th. We've had one day of clouds and showers, every other day? Mid 80's to triple digits the last two days, blue skies, and blazing sunshine. Drops into the mid to high 50's at night, sometimes 60's.

Locals are saying, "It's been cool, just wait." Thank God for putting the Blue Mountains just 20 minutes to the east. Get up about 4,500 to 5,000 feet in the trees and it's twenty degrees cooler.report abuse

"come to Phoenix, AZ"

I understand that Maine General's chief of cardiology in the nineties (John Sutherland, M.D. - the guy who "wrote the book")is now practicing and doing research in Phoenix.

Try to get your grandson up to the mountains in the Four Corners area while he's visiting.report abuse

Julie Mathieu, come to Phoenix, AZ. The sun shines most of the time and it has been a very plesant June...mostly in the 90's or low three digits...nice blue skies.

My grandson, from Belgrade Maine is spending the summer with me in AZ and he is enjoying the pool, Grand Canyon, Sedona and all the museums.

It is just wonderful here. I don't miss Maine's two weeks of summer, mosquitoes and black flies. I will be returning my grandson in August...I hope summer will be there by then.report abuse
