"I've had the distinct feeling lately that we are poised precariously between two realities."

Pretty much sums it up. Still, from my angle of the dangle, adequate gun control means hitting your target.

So long as I'm better armed than the next guy, I'm all for another AWB ; )

Till then, Molon Labe.report abuse

The Ammo Shortage/Sell Outs is fairly old news to some of us that watch these things. More telling is when the ATF (who love 'T' dotting & 'I' crossing as part of making us jump through all the required hoops) ran short of Form 4473 earlier this year and allowed Xeroxed(tm) copies of the Form to be used instead of their printed originals.

See link: http://www.ammoland.com/2009/01/07/notice-to-all-federal-firearms-licensees-regarding-atf-form-4473/

It, very much, blew everyone's mind that the ATF would allow that in the face of the unprecedented sales demand for personal arms.report abuse

Try going to any one of the sites, like Cabella's, and even google "buy 5.56 mm ammo". Go to the links and check on availability.

When you have done so, and have seen "out of stock" on dozens of specific bullets on dozens of sites.

Then you come back here and speak your ignorance. We have been buying Chinese ammo for decades, not anymore. It's dried up. Go to Wal-Mart and check the signs, "Ammo Purchases Limited to four boxes per customer, when available."

You're going to write something, try to make it based on facts and not supposition and assumption.report abuse

"Been buying imported ammo from China for decades..."

See, no shortage. Can't trust everything you hear at the ladies' luncheon anymore.report abuse
