Choice is for the rich. $10 for my 2 kids to have an ice cream cone is out of my budget. The same cone cost me ten cents when I was a kid, and I had one every day. Why it's 100 times more expensive today, means only rich kids can go out for ice cream. So, we make our own at-home. And, we have ice cream that's affordable every night. Oh, that includes our sundaes with all the toppings too!! Triple scoops for three people: $5.00...go figure.report abuse

We are lucky enough to have Gifford's on Nantucket
A little bit of home 250m miles away. We were in Amherst, MA a few weeks ago and found a Gifford's stand there, always great ice cream.report abuse
