Right now lobster bait trappers are being allowed, for a hundred bucks apiece by IFW, to take lake suckers from China Lake with traps to sell as lobster bait.

Lake suckers are algae eaters and everyone, with the possible exception of IFW, knows China Lake is choked with algae.

IFW has failed to send any of the harvesting data to China. China doesn’t even know yet if they are keeping any records or if they even know where the traps are.

It seems there is no requirement on the permit application, available on line, for the specific trap sites to be disclosed on the permit so a warden could check. It seems maybe IFW doesn’t want to bother to know if the taps are set legally or not.

Thus far this week IFW has refused to send copies of the permits they issued to the Town of China.

What is IFW illegally hiding this time. Those permits are PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE, if you are allowed to have copies of them.report abuse

When Richard Lawrence was Selectman, he saved the dam owners so much money on taxes - the dam owners should give Benton a piece of land.report abuse
