Your right We really don't need huge stores, we do just about all our shopping right here in town supporting our local store. When you look at the prices there same or cheaper then the big stores. Plus our store owner gives back in many ways.
Some food for thought the writer mentioned debit and credit cards well they get I believe 2% of every sale, that has to cut into profit. I need to start using cash so those greedy banks stop getting money for nothing.report abuse

Whatever happened to support your local business. It is small businesses that keep this country running and if you think buying EVERYTHING at Hannaford and Wal-mart is the answer than lets hope your not the majority. If the country was run like a small business, you could bet we wouldn't be adding to an already astronomical defecit. Just my 2 cents.report abuse

Michael Denis .........Well YA, of course I know that. My point is that maybe people are not "shopping" the convenience stores as much. Better planning. Wait till you get to Hannafords or Wally World. Cut back on those $2.00 coffees, or maybe bring it with you. I NEVER go to those places. Gas only. People are, maybe finally, beginning to realize they can cut back.
They have reached the saturation point with way too many of them.

A little cranky today are ya? :) Relax.report abuse
