as far as a offender friendly state I don't think digging back 20 years for a crime you did and posting it on the internet for life is a friendly stste, where it gets friendly is with drunks and druggiesreport abuse
When i think of it from living in Massachusetts all my life, many of the most honest people you could meet have told me similar things they have hit and took off on. Usually relatively minor things.
I bet this Massachusetts driver knew what he did, and took off. But as i have said a zillion times,Maine has a criminal-friendly,sex-offender,and vehicular manslaugterer-friendly judicial system. He will walk ,especially if he gets the "mitigating factor" Maine Judge Jabar the Huttreport abuse
Why did this happen?? It is the complete Negligence of the owner of this trailer to care about anybody else behind him. Unlike a bus driver who has his interest at stake because he is in front of the bus when a person tows a trailer he could care less about who is behind... because he is not at risk.
Since 1988 over 445,000 people injured... Since 1977 over 14,200 people killed and nearly 1,000,000 things damaged by passenger cars that tow trailers and nothing is done.
Why??
So we can get Tony Saprano to bank roll us and become a Utility Trailer Hit man company and charge 1,000,000 to kill someone and guess what happens in Maine? Nothing!!! except may a ticket for unsecured load. What if he did not run from the accident.
What would he been charged with? Failure to secure a load how much is the fine.
A Man killed 3 people last year on the Maryland Bay Bridge he killed 2 firemen and another man and all he got was an $80.00 fine....
