If you have an old house and do not have the good fortune to live within Alberta's area, check with your local historical society. Many have been collecting this type of information as well.report abuse

I'd invite anyone interested in Oakland's history to join us -- if Alberta can't fire you up to local history, you're probably no longer among the living!report abuse

Armed only with a copy of an old photo, Alberta tracked down the house where my great-great grandmother lived. That house looks quite different now, but Alberta's trained eye looked past the current improvements to the structural "bones."

Alberta, I've found some other materials relating to this house, so I'll be contacting you to see if you can make use of them.report abuse
