Ice fishing, like smoking, is a dangerous world class waste of time.

If you are out of work and low on money your job is to find a job, not to sit on an overturned five-gallon bucket on the ice waiting for a fish to bite, a fish you shouldn’t eat because of mercury.

Both the cigarette and catching the poisoned fish are fun, right?report abuse

Terrific fishing on Moosehead Lake this weekend. Cold as all get out and windy, but the fish were biting! All in all, once folks have the basic equipment, ice fishing can be an in-expensive form of family entertainment, and it gets children outdoors and off the couch, away from computor games and such.report abuse
