Sick of seeing this story. WHY didn't someone tell her she couldn't sing. Don't blame the judges of American Idol, because they were honest with her. Sorry for the family's loss. But come on...her head wasn't right.report abuse

I'm, sorry folks, but what I am about to say is going to sound insensitive... I have a great deal of trouble feeling sorry for anyone, whom through concious, informed decisions, throws their life away. I just don't have it in me. I feel very sorry for the family, whom lost a daughter, a sister, and perhaps a friend.report abuse

They went easy on her, JP. It's not Paula Abdul's fault. Not everyone is entitled to be a "star" simply b/c they want it badly. That's life.report abuse

and we buy into it, everyday, by watching these horribly obscenely painful moments of humiliation on reality shows that now rule television.

Imagine, a country enthralled by watching someone be eliminated, voted out or publicly embarassed? It's like video taping the 11year old who gets picked last in gym and cries in the bathroom or the teenage girl that never gets asked to prom sitting in her room alone on prom night.....and then putting it on television so we can all join in on the fun!

What kind of depressing world do we live in where it is more fun to watch someone on the most painfully humiliating day of their life--then it is to watch them on the best day or their life?report abuse
