I have two cats of my own that I could not bear to live without. While neither one of them can be considered a good mouser, their presence alone deters mice, rats, ground-hogs and all other sorts of vermin.

What I spend on them annually to keep them happy, healthy and well fed is a lot less than what it would cost me to have an exterminator come out four times a year to accomplish the same effect on the vermin.report abuse

C-Fairer, you have some company. Nice idea, but it would be a much nicer idea if ALL people had ALL their food, shelter, and heating needs taken care of before we worry about pets.report abuse
