Roland & Rose will need a lot of help, their home is not handicapped accesible. Unknown medical bills will also continue to rise. They are not well off. We also do not want the other children (12-17) to be left out. They are going through this terrifying time also. I was there at the family conference as the Dr., Amy Movius MD told all of them what is & could happen to Justin. Good & Bad. (By the way...If you want an AWESOME Peds doctor, she has a wonderful way of explaining situations to young ones. They also have a very caring & comforting Social worker there, her name is Heather. They have special counselors that work with siblings, to help them be more at ease with there family situation.
Please remember the whole family. They are most definitly thought of every day & many are praying for them all.report abuse

God bless this young man & his family. My own grandson was diagnosed at age 11 with juvenile diabetes; which right away makes it's victims insulin-dependent. He is now age 20, but in those 1st few yrs., as the Dr's struggled to reg. his insulin to co-incide with his body going into adolescence, was a NIGHTMARE!! He spent more time at home that 1st yr. than in school, w/sugar levels so low & then so high he was almost in a comatose state many times. My heart goes out to this family during this heartbreaking time. You are in my prayers.report abuse
