"Successful" (which you may or may not be, depending on your definition),

It's amazing that you call recipients "freeloaders." Somehow I doubt you're calling those on Wall Street who raked in millions in the sub prime markets the same. I doubt you're calling a silver spoon baby like George W. Bush, who didn't earn a darned thing in his privileged life, the same.

Your values are quite warped.report abuse

This isn't a meltdown, $53 TRILLION is a meltdown... In less than twenty years, the cost of Social Security and Medicare will exceed government revenues. The crisis we're seeing now is just a glimpse at how our government continues to kick the can down the road for future generations to deal with. There's little hope because our next President, just like our current President, has failed to acknowledge the biggest problem we've EVER faced.

Google "I.O.U.S.A." to see how screwed we are.report abuse

Now that Babyboomers are retiring,
"the federal government will need to reduce growth in the major entitlement programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security"

The contributors will again receive cuts, while the freeloaders continue to reap the benifits. Cut welfare and entitlements for all the baby producers that refuse to contribute to the tax base.report abuse
