I usually agree with you Yankee_Biker but,

"Let's bring it to simple terms. Casino in Maine, money coming in from out of state gamblers"

What out of state gamblers, NH VT? Anyone south of us will go to Foxwoods. It's the same distance. ME NH and VT gamblers couldn't touch what MA and CT gamblers would spend.report abuse

Let's bring it to simple terms. Casino in Maine, money coming in from out of state gamblers, jobs for Mainers graft for the legislature. No casino, Mainers taking money out of state to gamble, new jobs at the casino not happening. We're not being asked to use tax money to build this, in fact if it goes true to form the state will require the owners to make public improvements.
Fact; the economic downturn will not last.
Fact; gamblers will gamble
Fact; we can benefit from as a poster and Dave Ramsey said "stupid tax".
If done right this could be like South Lake Tahoe, with gaming, skiing, golf and many other activities for the families of the gamblers.report abuse
