From everything I've heard and read on this subject, nobody knows what the cost will be to 'bailout' Wall Street but since Bush wants to make sure that they have enough money, he came up with $700B to be on the safe side. So . .once the money is allocated, do you think that any of it would return to the taxpayers if it were too much - or that these CEOs don't get a golden parachute?report abuse

"Michaud and others, both Democrat and Republican, placed politics over the public good"

Crap sandwiches are for the "public good"? Michaud did the right thing. Nothing bad can come from debating this bill a few more days.report abuse

"It's the obligation of our elected officials to lead, not follow."

So Tommys' vote was "Followership" dontcha think?

This vote cut both ways, and Michaud has nothing to lose. However, It will be interesting to see where Snoozie and Snowed fall if they have to vote on this "Crapsammich" first.

What a waste of newsprint this op-ed was!!!report abuse
