At my bank, I just have to go in to make a change to my mortgage with Dave when the rate goes down (I always get to talk to a person). For a small fee, they just make the change and I get the lower rate. Also too bad you can't refinance with your CU. That why I am glad I am at Kennebec Savings.report abuse

I almost switched to KV Credit Union awhile back because it's close to work and home but I am so glad I didn't. I will stay with the CU I am currently with. I refuse to do business with banks. Many years ago when I got my house mortgage I got it through a "local" bank. It was sold several times and now it's with Washington Mutal, a huge company that doesn't care about me and I can't even speak to a human when I call. I can't afford to refinance with my CU. So stick with a local CU people!report abuse
