I have no oil and I refuse to order any until after October and then I refuse to turn on the furnace until November. Turtlenecks, flannel, fleece - take that you avaricious oil barons. There are people freezing all over the world - I can stand a few chilly nights and mornings. I refuse to budge from the house at least one day a week. Don't care what anyone needs at the store. The car is not going anywhere on inflated gas prices. Work, then errands - trips must be coordinated. Refuse to buy price-inflated grocery items - do miss cottage cheese but day old bread tastes the same as fresh. I'll save the extra dollars for purchasing locally grown food. Revolution takes many forms - dramatic upheavals or slow, steady acts of defiance (even if no one knows or cares). Time to bring opting out of the consumer temptation battle against corporate greed to a new level - keeping needs sublimely simple. Corporations - Citigroup, Wells Fargo - you can keep your outrageous finance charges for shiny, plastic do-dads - new furniture, new electronics, new vehicles. I'm happy with a little place in the woods and an old car - with plenty of time to think and dream of a better world where new leaders (as opposed to those "leaders" in the past who have been elected because of suspiciously faulty voting machines or a Supreme Court decision) may actually think 200 years ahead in planning for the future, not 2 months or 2 weeks or 2 days. And I will take the time to vote for those who offer that hope and promise accountability.report abuse

Parasite...unlike the Republi-cons who pull all of their campaign signs and toss them into the back seat of their BMW or Lexus? What a narrow-minded hack. Keep spewing your hatred....look what it's done for this country.report abuse
