Impala's dont get 70% better fuel mileage ! Thats crazy. Fuel economy from http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/calculatorCompareSideBySide.jsp?column=1&id=23292 shows 15 city/23 highway and the impala 18 city/26 highway for the standard models. The Impala is a smaller vehicle and is a V-6 powered car from what I've seen they are constantly in the garage. The Crown Vic is a V-8 Powered, tried and true vehicle. Also, Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is the only police
pursuit sedan on the market tested to meet 75-mph
rear-end crash tests without a fuel tank puncture. Ford
is the only vehicle manufacturer to publish results for a
75-mph test – not so for Charger and Impala. Compliments of https://www.fleet.ford.com/showroom/CVPI/pdfs/2009/09_Police_and_SSV_Brochure.pdf Three miles per gallon difference in the city is not 70%.report abuse
