Is it true? Are the Olympics really over today? Hooray.

Finally we can get back to Obama, McCain, Lindsay...

Tony, Devine didn't ruin my day in the least. I had a great, relaxing day with my hubby. We went out for lunch and Devine was the last thing on our mind. Just a very relaxing day, enjoying eachothers company. Merely getting ready for the start of a new week.
His (Devine's) letters are out of wack, so I suppose you must be also.report abuse

As usual, Devine expresses an opinion with good humor .For the most part, it's a view I share. As far as I'm concerned, the only two sporting events that create more yawns, in my opinion, are NASCAR and pro football.

One good thing about the Olympics - it drives me away from my television - there's still a whole world out there that I'd forgotten.

I also understand that JP Devine could recite the alphabet and the rabid right would fly into a frenzy. He and I share political and social views also and I too like to raise the blood pressure of my more conservative acquaintances/

Devine's Sunday commentary is a favorite of mine - partly for the its grammatically correct writing and partly because I know he's totally screwed up the day for people who think theirs is the only view that should permitted.report abuse

BJourn; I understand Devine's sarcasm very clearly. It doesn't mean I have to like it, nor does it change my mind of his feelings regarding the olympics.

His quote: "The woman were hot." So just who's mind is in the gutter??report abuse
