I am shocked that Animal Welfare left any living thing with these people. I feel that by doing so they are complicit in the misery these 15 dogs and countless cats experience. I live on Bennett Hill and have to close my windows when driving by lest my vehicle smell like filth. Cats churn out kittens with no end in sight. People who leave animals confined to the point that they cannot stand deserve to be charged with their crimes, a view apparently not shared by the folks at Animal Welfare. This situation is one that our local animal control officer is well aware of as she has trapped many feral cats from this property over the years. Perhaps some time in a cage sufficient to cause muscular atrophy and a little malnutrition would convince members of the state Animal Welfare Department of the need to bring charges in this case.report abuse

Needs to be charged and the dogs should be removed. That appears to be the only way to insure the dog's welfare. Obviously, the owner is not wrapped too tight. Somebody has to do what it best for the dogs, and they're not about to.report abuse

OMG!!! How many more will it take for this State to grow some balls .... Why? How? Can you allow this to happen ????????????? We need some REAL Animal COPS here in Maine, like what you see on Animal Planet.... But noooo be nice let the animals suffer and die... HMMMM it seems this sort of thing happened here in Windsor and they waited and waited, most of Animals Died or were put down ... I guess that costs the State and towns less, than it would be to hire people that will step up and do their dam jobs. It's not to hard you walk in and take them ...report abuse
