Think of the massive amount of waste this fast, cheap from of tree cutting is causing. Just look at any trash container and see all paper products used once as containers, newspaper, bags, boxes etc. and thrown away.
There is actually more life just under the forest floor than there is above it and all this quick money equipment used in the woods today reeks destruction to that delicate environment, but who cares?
Regardless of what anyone from the Humane Society says, working a draft horse is one thing, they are not asked to pull every last bit they can during normal work in the woods. Using them in to pull massive weights at fairs to enhance the ego of their owners is another. At those levels a horse can pull tendons, break bones and actually explode the heart, rare but it happens.
If they wish to call pulling a sport have the owners demonstrate what they personally can pull instead. Men making fools of them selves could be very entertaining.report abuse
