This comment is directed toward NH of Brunswick. I am the neighbor of the person who is being charged in this case, and I am the person who caught the vicious wolf-husky mixed dog, not once, but three times. We just bought our house a little over 3 months ago and had no idea about who or what our next door neighbors were. However, I am now aware that many people in this town, and all of the residents of Lander Ave have tried repeatedly and consistantly for well over a year to have this person investigated and animals removed, but because this person kept most of the animals inside the house and wouldn't let anyone in, nobody knew exactly how many animals were inside or what their condition was. It was public knowledge that this person was unclean and that her yard was disgusting, but no one knew just how aweful the living conditions were. It wasn't until the husky escaped and bit someone, and we followed it to its yard that we realized it had come from there. It was rumored that the person owned a husky, but it was the first time it had escaped the home to be seen by the neighbors. After it had bitten a second person without an attempt to capture it by animal control, I fashioned a catch-pole and caught it myself when it wandered into my yard. It was when we attempted to return it to the house that we discovered the aweful reality of the situation. The dead animals that were found later in bags were wrapped so that the odor was not detectable off property. Since the warrant was executed and the bags opened, the smell is now pungent throughout the neighborhood. I, and many of the other residents of Lander Avenue risked our lives to save these animals immediately and on several occassions over the past week just as soon as we made the discovery. So please, get the facts before you start pointing fingers. Nobody has looked the other way on this, the whole town has been trying for years to prevent something like this, but nobody listened until now.report abuse

to all you people commenting about how horrible the neighbors are in this situation- you dont know what goes on to this extent. all the time.... WE DID KNOW SOMETHING WAS WRONG. not this bad. not only the neighbors but MANY PEOPLE IN TOWN have been calling cops, animal control in numerous towns, dhs,,, even when the lil kid was taken away- they took him away in the middle of the street!!!!!!!!!! they didnt even go in the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when that one dog- the only one(animal) that was ever outside was out- WE FED IT!!!!!! it took us 3 effin weeks to get any one over there. when the vicious husky got loose from inside the house- we called the game warden!!! know what he did????// sat in his truck and threw french frys at it tryin to get it occupied cuz he was scared. KNOW WHO CAUGHT IT??? we did!!!!! know what the game warden did with it???? PUT IT BACK IN THE HOUSE!!!!! the anmal contorl took photos of the animals when they were living and still in the house. know what he/she did after?? LEFT THEM FOR TWO MORE DAYS!!!!. IT WAS THE NEIGHBORS WHO GOT IN AND TOOK OUT THE ONES THAT WERE NO THREAT TO HUMANS!!!!! so do your research. if anything. the neighbors have done most. come to think of it- when they were raiding the house getting the mean animals out. cops stood behind the truck and a NEIGHBOR and one other WOMAN animal officer got the husky out. SO YEAH- THAT WERE THE NEIGHBORS WERE.report abuse

I agree with most of the comments. People who do these things to animals make you wonder what they do with and to their children! As everything gets more expensive and it gets harder to maintain your family
unit, I believe we will hear more of this type of things.report abuse
