too bad you get your info from the paper and not the facts,he wasn't convicted nor does it appear on his record. I agree he should move on but you write a lot of things that are not always fact but what you read in the media. I wonder if you are a marketing person in real life. I do not think there is a good candidate in either party going for the seat so once again it will be a vote for the lesser of two evilsreport abuse

As a Democrat I am so glad that Tavares didn't win. I draw the line with criminal charges and theft, which is what he'd been involved with. Also, I don't like the desperate nature of his "campaigns," like that's all he can do in life. Service can take many forms and career politicians should rethink that approach. His aspiration is to be a career politician. Better he should give that up, volunteer, etc., and realize that people aren't going to EVER forget that he was involved in theft and they shouldn't either.report abuse

Yes, TJ made a serious criminal error in judgment, which will cost him what should have been a very promising political future. I only hope that he can channel his efforts into a positive role in the future. Despite his conviction, he's too good a person to go softly into the night.report abuse

TJ needs to move on with his hopes of running for public office, this large defeat should be an eye opener for him. The fact is that he tarnished his image a few years ago and that will not be forgotten. I can't foresee him getting elected to a public position in this part of the state again.report abuse
