Hmmmm...amazing. Summer jobs. Perhaps those summer jobs might soon be taken up by Cianbro employees whose out-of-work numbers are being added to daily. Laid off. Ask oneself why!

After all, it's summer time, when the livin' is easy, in construction! So, wha'sup?

Could it be mismanagement/misjudgment by the new up-toppers in management? Too many "new hirees" at a time when gas costs are grotesquely glutted? Aided and abetted by the loss of work in Portland Harbor? (i.e., the ship IS going back south, where perhaps labor works more sensibly for its employees)

So losing jobs/laying off is back in vogue at Cianbro. Hiring new employees in so as not to have to pay the older ones who've been there for a bit and make more money, ah, just lay them off! Doing that sure adds to the 'bottom line' for company profitability in these 'down times' economically. And the fat cats get fatter in those upper echelons.

Lest we forget: No union, no job protection. Employees at the mercy of management, period.

Check it out, Sentinel. And watch for the news.

Times, are they a-changin'?

Time is telling right now.report abuse
