38 years ago i got locked in a frezzer when in the navy .It had the safty push on the inside. But you would first inter a large cooler and from there was a door to the frezzer.the floor had removable grates and after i intered the frezzer one had sprung up just enought to block the door.I had opened a bunch of cases of food and used the cardboard help keep self warm. Pulled out the safty push pulunger and would bang on the wall untill someone at last heard me and let me out.No frost bite but i think i shivered for over an hour,i was very cold and by the time i had got out very worried i think it was close to 2 hours and well below zero always. Its a strange feeling for sure. But crap does happen.report abuse

Manufacturers make defective parts everyday and good parts do wear out from normal use, that's why these internal release mechanisms in these walk-in freezers need to be taken apart and inspected on a regular scheduled basis.report abuse
