You are the one that needs to grow up.
Nobody , in any of these posts is Blaming the Police for doing their jobs. What people are complaining about is the STATE LEGISLATURE and the STATE DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION. If this seat belt law were really for safety, AS IN SO MANY OTHER CASES there wouldn't be any monetary fines, for infractions. There might be license suspensions, or registration suspensions, but if there were no revenue issues these laws and rules would never be ENFORCED.The Police are only following orders from the government.report abuse
Lets face it, education is the only safe way to get people to wear seat belts, not a heavy handed, police imposed, tax enhancing, government intrusive, transparent law. The only thing the law is enforcing is having the belt over the shoulder, it’s impossible for an officer to tell for sure if it is buckled or not.
Police are exempt from the law, they, like us, may have to get out of their vehicle quicklyreport abuse
